When asked for opinions regarding new housing being built, 46% of respondents were in favour, 43% were against and 11% answered “don’t know”. The most popular type of housing was affordable housing for people with a village connection (39%), followed by 2-4 bedroomed houses (21%). 76% of respondents said that new developments should be in keeping with the current style of the village.
The majority of respondents believe that the number of
residential canal boats and caravans should be limited (76% in both cases).
