
The majority of respondents (63%) belong
to at least one club or society. More than one third of respondents (38%) feel
that the children’s’ playground is adequate for 4 to 7 year olds,
with 30% feeling it is adequate for 8 to 11 year olds. The top unprompted request
for additional facilities at the playground was for a youth club/ improved teenager
facilities.
The playing field scored above 40% for adequacy of facilities for all age groups
from 12 to 39 years. Top unprompted request for improved facilities was bowls
(15 mentions), and there were 14 football-related comments and suggestions.
Regarding the provision of a youth club, table tennis was the most requested activity at 55%, followed by pool and organised visits (48% each). 65% per cent of respondents think that there are sufficient activities for the over-60s.
65% of those who answered the relevant
question are members of the Sports and Social Club, with the majority of those
(56%) being members of the tennis club. The majority of club members (70%) believe
that he current pavilion meets the needs of their club.
